NRG Bloom - empowering Africa
In Sub-Saharan Africa 70% of the population face challenges in accessing electricity. 53% of the population (600M people) have no access at all. Centralised supply is often inefficient and uneconomical. New revenues are needed for expanding and upgrading supply efficiency. At NRG Bloom our goal is to unlock the potential of stranded energy, turning it into a revenue stream that can be reinvested to strengthen electrical grid infrastructure. We're also investigating how battery solutions can be utilised for the more efficient storage of power and its integration with Bitcoin mining.
